THE WORK OF NATHANIEL C. PANGARO

Technology & Political Journalist

Ever since I was interviewed on WNBC News 4 NY - due to my high school alcohol testing multiple students and the community debating on whether it was constitutional - I have continued to have a deep interest in the process and engagement of journalism. My interest levels have only increased during my time in the journalism program at American University. While I have primarily worked in print journalism, multiple sources have told me I should consider being in front of the camera and pursuing broadcast journalism.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the nation in early 2020, I incorporated my interest in using technology into my reporting style by conducting interviews over video conferencing platforms and collaborating with team members via collaborative programs and resources. I also delved deeper into my interest in political issues and reported on DACA and how COVID-19 has impacted the lives of students, immigrants, educators, and everyday people.

After graduating from American University, I started writing for the Student Loan Help Group - as a Freelance Writer - to inform diverse individuals about different avenues they can take to repay their student loans. I also started writing for AppleInsider - as a Contributing Editor - where I wrote articles based on tips, location visits, and product reviews that corresponded with Apple products and services.

As I continue my journalistic journey, I hope to inform and engage audiences in the topics of technology and politics that I find most exciting and vital to report.

Layed out are my top three highlighted pieces.
